Hope for the Holidays

With holidays approaching, as seasons of cheer

Many unfortunate homes are experiencing fear

With bank accounts dry and savings obsolete

Struggling to provide the cliche socks for their feet

With children left in disappointment

Each parents eyes filled with a tear

The worrisome celebration continues to near

Need us remember the meaning of the cause

The gifts are of love, not from Mr. Clause

Children rival on whom received the best gifts

But a home and a family can only be missed

Computers and games, bikes or a puppy

Fill children with joy and feel comfortably lucky

As we grow older we understand the true meaning

The smiles and laughter, the excitable gleaming

Most have lost the true meaning of these times

But recapturing the essence rebuild love of all signs

No expectations

No broken heart

Just a family of togetherness

Assurance to never part
