It’s a well-known fact that the word insanity can be defined as the attempt of doing the same thing but expecting a different result. When it comes to addiction this is more clear to those who suffer.

When beginning this piece I wanted to understand why we do what we do, but once I began to look at the world as a whole, I began to understand that this disease of addiction is more than an issue of substance consumption.
Watching the events of this brand new year unfold has already caused alarm to the entire world. I am not here to weigh in on the current affairs of my nation, nor choose a side in these unbelievable events. Although I stand opinionated on nearly everything that arises daily, I believe the internet should be used more for information and guidance than a “he said, she said” piece.

I see the world weighing in on this tragic event that has unraveled and everyone is always so quick to point the finger, but as the saying goes “for every one you point, there are four more pointing back at you.” Celebrities and gossip columnist, radicals and high school freshman, all seem to have a word on what is becoming of this world. I am a true believer that every voice counts, but when it turns to rants and accusations without legitimization, all it ends up is nonsense.
